Former U.S. President Donald Trump engaged in a lengthy interview with tech billionaire Elon Musk on Monday, which has drawn major attention on social media.
The conversation, broadcast on Musk’s platform X (formerly Twitter), has reportedly amassed around one billion combined views, including follow-up discussions by other accounts.
Musk highlighted the staggering reach of the interview in a post on X, saying, “Combined views of the conversation with @realDonaldTrump and subsequent discussion by other accounts now ~1 billion.”
During the interview, Trump criticised Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing her of avoiding media engagements.
“It’s pretty sad when you think that somebody that does this for a living can’t answer a question or is afraid to do an interview, and in her case, with a very friendly interview. She’s got all friendly interviewers,” Trump said.
His remarks come amid Harris’ 22-day absence from formal press conferences or sit-down interviews, even declining a feature for a Time magazine cover story after being announced as the Democratic National Committee’s nominee for the 2024 presidential election.
Trump further criticised Harris, describing her as “more liberal, by far, than Bernie Sanders,” and labeling her as a “radical-left lunatic.”
