In light of this, a prominent APC stalwart in Osun State, Dr. Desmond Oludare Ojumu, has praised the landmark judgment delivered on Monday, February 10, 2025, by the Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, Ondo State.
The grassroots mobilizer from Ijesa North Federal Constituency described the judgment as a victory for true democracy in Nigeria, commending the judiciary for upholding justice and fairness.
While congratulating all the reinstated Chairmen and Councillors, particularly those from Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Dr. Ojumu commended them for their patience, endurance, and unwavering faith in God’s justice. He urged the newly reinstated council officials to demonstrate that the All Progressives Congress (APC) stands for impactful governance and not merely for showmanship, as allegedly witnessed under the current administration in Osun State.
Dr. Desmond Ojumu also expressed his appreciation to the former APC National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande; the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, HE Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola; the APC State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Olaniyi Lawal; and other leaders at the state and national levels. He thanked them for their steadfast support of the reinstated council officials, who were unjustly removed following the inauguration of the incumbent Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on November 27, 2022.
