The Vice President of Nigeria, Sen. Kashim Shettima, is expected to declare open the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) 3rd National Conference on Non-Oil Export in Abuja.
The NEPC explained that the conference is expected to draw participants from the public and Organized Private Sector (OPS), development partners, and the diplomatic community.
According to a statement by Ndubueze Okeke, Head of Corporate Communications at NEPC, the conference is scheduled for November 12–13, 2024.
With the theme “Promoting Non-Oil Export for Rapid National Economic Growth,” the conference aims to provide a platform for multi-sectoral stakeholders and practitioners to discuss and consolidate positions on emerging issues related to non-oil exports.

The conference also seeks to develop a framework by industry stakeholders, policymakers, development partners, and SMEs with the goal of proposing solutions to some of the challenges affecting the sector.
“Some of the topics slated for discussion are ‘$1 Trillion Economy in 2030: Non-Oil Export as a Major Driver’ and ‘Sectoral Perspective in the Development and Promotion of Non-Oil Export.’
Other topics include Compliance with Trade Regulations, Export Financing, Supply Chain Constraints, Streamlining Informal Cross-Border Trade, as well as One State One Product as a Vehicle to Drive Non-Oil Export,” the statement added.
