THE National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, and the newly inaugurated Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of PFN, Pastor Yemi Davids have called for reconciliation among aggrieved parties for a unified body.

Davids, Founding Pastor of Global Impact Ministries with headquarters at the Goodland Ogudu, Lagos, who made known that reconciliation was at the top of his agenda, said there was a need for unity and positioning of the body for greater impacts and relevance.

In his speech, the Chairman said much was to be done for the execution of the Nehemiah assignment for the body of Christ in Lagos and by implication Nigeria to wax stronger.

He outlined areas of focus to include; reconciliation, renewal(spiritual), relevance, and resourcefulness, saying that the new dawn season is especially unique as PFN hits the 40-year milestone.

At a press conference on Saturday after his inauguration at the Covenant Nation, Iganmu; Davids further shared that the new leadership’s agenda includes top-notch communication, executing community projects, correction of media narrative and public perception, reaching Pentecostal churches who are non-active members of PFN and renewal of PFN’s vision.

He as well informed that the planned Pastors’ Congress, on October 21 at the Household of David, was for them to fellowship and talk to one another in line with the passage and renewal of PFN’s vision.

Responding to the Sunday Telegraph on measures to prevent future succession crises, he said, “One of the things that will help us with crisis is adequate communication. Sometimes when there is misinformation or non-adequate information there is bound to be some chaos.

“We want to see how we can communicate effectively to various stakeholders going forward and I love what Archbishop Joseph Ojo (State Inauguration Chairman), said which is my ethos for leadership in terms of using  We.”

“God said, ‘let us make man in our image’, the awareness that we are in it together will help whether the Chairman, Deputy, Executives, members of State Advisory Council (SAC), or a Pastor in Lagos. Allowing or encouraging all to play their parts will help reduce crisis.”

Corroborating Davids, Pastor Godman Akinlabi a member of the State Advisory Council (SAC) said lots of efforts are going into reconciliation and effective communication.

“When a family is together it is difficult to misunderstand one another, it is when the family is not together, that you will misunderstand the simplest of communication.

“All the efforts is to let us know that the team will go on the standpoint of humility and honouring one another view, the crisis we believe will be a thing of the past.”

Meanwhile, Bishop Oke, at the inauguration described the present era as that of the former and latter rain together, while calling for collaboration.

He stated: “I was reliably informed that the PFN PFN Lagos state has been praying and fasting for a new era. The new era you have been praying for is here. We are in the era of former and latter rain together.

“Lagos PFN, you are entering a season of unprecedented abundance and it will flow in every church through the fellowship and restore to you the year the locust and cankerworm has eaten.”

Lagos PFN shall never be ashamed. The new era that the outgoing executives have been praying for two years, I want to declare to you as the national president of PFN;  Lagos PFN, you are entering into the new and glorious era.

He added: Let’s come together, close old chapter and move ahead. The chosen, the next, and the best, you see what makes him the best it is because he is the best and whosoever God Has chosen is the best.
