The Founder and CEO of the Aribisala Care Foundation, Barrister Abiodun Aribisala, an internationally renowned tax consultant and a prominent stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has called on the federal government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize the welfare of widows and orphans of Nigeria’s fallen heroes.
Barrister Aribisala made the appeal in a statement released through his media team to commemorate this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day. He expressed concern over the plight of the dependents of Nigeria’s fallen soldiers, many of whom, he lamented, are living in poverty and hardship.

“We pray fervently to the Almighty God to continue to have mercy on the souls of our fallen heroes. May He comfort and strengthen the families they left behind,” he said.
Highlighting the sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces, Aribisala emphasized the need for collective responsibility in honoring their memory. “Our Armed Forces are on various fronts, making huge sacrifices to ensure our safety and security. We owe them a debt of gratitude and must continue to honor their sacrifices by fostering unity and peaceful coexistence in our communities,” he stated.
He also decried the toll of crises and conflicts on national development, noting that resources meant for addressing developmental challenges are often diverted to resolving conflicts and tackling insecurity.
“Armed Forces Remembrance Day is a solemn occasion to honor those who paid the ultimate price to protect our nation, safeguard its citizens, and maintain unity. Their valor and heroism will forever be cherished by Nigerians,” Aribisala added.
He urged Nigerians to use the occasion to reflect on the challenges of nation-building and commit to fostering peace and unity in the country.
“As we mark this day, let us rededicate ourselves to the task of building a united, peaceful, and prosperous nation,” he concluded.
The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is observed annually to honor Nigeria’s military personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as veterans who have served the nation.
