A member of House of Representatives, representing Doguwa-Tundunwada federal constituency, Ado Alhassan Doguwa has assured that his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) will sweep the October 26th local government council election
He made this assertion on Sunday, while speaking to his supporters who came out in large numbers in his house along DanAgundi Area of Kano, insisting that the state ruling NNPP will have no monopoly in the conduct elections because of so many reasons.
According to him, “Some of the reasons why we are confident in winning the local government elections are because the state electoral sommission has no personal boxes to be use for voting purposes and the voters lists they are relying on are those documented by the INEC.”
Doguwa also added that most of the local government areas rely fully on the APC as their party that will salvage their unfortunate conditions of living, and as such at most, “we are winning not less that 40 out of the 44 if not all.
“Therefore, since everything for the elections is not personal to the state electoral commission and that the Police who will be neutral and other security agencies are not state control, we are confident that we will have the election.”
Doguwa ,who is the Chairman House Committee on Downstream Petroleum, further appealed to the APC supporter’s in the state to ensure that they conducted themselves peacefully before, during and after the local governments election.
He stated “You should not listen to provocations, you should concentrate on campaigning and even the campaigns should be on issues base and not personal vendetta, attacks and slanderous statements.
“Show them that you are politically in control and don’t allow their barbaric approach disturb you.”
