Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth on Thursday officially announced the end of his 12-year-old marriage with Elsie Okpocha. He made the announcement via his verified Instagram page.
The caption of the text as posted by basketmouth reads:
‘’As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation. After much deliberations,my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need. We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times Thank you,’’
However, Elsie Okpocha also made a post on Thursday which to people’s surprise was not related to the divorce announcement made by her husband and has since then stirred up reactions from Nigerians.
It will be recalled that the entertainer got married to his wife in 2010 making it 12 years since their union. They have three children between them.
