When it comes to content creation or skits making, Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, popularly known as ShankComics, is far from being a greenhorn.
With 2.7 million followers on Instagram, 2.5 million on Facebook, 3.7 million on TikTok and 1.4M on Twitter the man from Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State is a force to reckon with in the social space.
According to him, being a skitmaker was never one of his best laid plans but then destiny doesn’t iterate by handing out memos. It happens. And when it’ does, it could 3ithw be gor good or bad. It has been kind on this funny YouTuber.
“I just knew I was going to be rich and famous. I didn’t know how. At some point I thought was going to become an engineer but that was never to be.
“To be honest, I would say Hunger. I was funny from school but I didn’t know I could take that as a career till I finished university, served as a Nigerian Corper and have no job. I had to make ends meet then I started making video. Glory to God that I’m here today, it has not been easy but I’m grateful. Heads up Always,” he narrates how he turned out to be a skits maker.
ShankComics believes his strength lies in the niche he has carved for himself, standing him out like of the sea of content creators consuming the social media space.
“I’m different. I make completely abstract comedy sketches. From my name, my videos are like comics. Lately, my youtube videos have differentiated me from most. It’s real, unscripted, and spontaneous..
“I don’t have a favorite video because three of all my videos are good. I try to be better than my previous post. I’m very hard on myself. I better not post than do something that is not on my own standard. I’m in competing myself, literally,” he adds.
