Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad, also known as Omojinad, has said that women in this era do not need to find love before giving life to their children.
The actress stated this in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, hosted by Kazeem Aderounmu.
When asked how she found love again and subsequently gave birth after the death of her ex-husband, Habibat said that life as a single mum was neither a joke nor convenient. She added further that giving birth was never until one finds love as anyone can do IVF or get a sperm donor.
“I need to correct you on that. This era that we are, it is not until you find love that you can give birth. Do you know there is IVF? Do you know that you don’t need love to do IVF? I am only telling you.
“Our mentality is that once you give birth, you have found love. Things are now different. It is whichever way you want it. You can decide not to have a husband. You can also decide to get a sperm donor,” she explained.
According to her, the death of her ex-husband was very painful, knowing how intelligent and hardworking he was, but she’s grateful to God for finding love and giving her another child after seventeen years.
Habibat Jinad, who was trained by Afeez Owo between 2008 and 2010, had her first movie, “Alaba Orun,” in which she acted as a journalist. She has produced five movies, including Oba Meji, Shaku Shaki, Ireti Alaje, Omo Komo, and Ikulokunrin.
