It was carnival-like at Joga Orile in Iboro/Joga ward in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flags off campaign and official presentation of flags to the chairmanship and other candidates, including vice chairman and councilors for the forthcoming local government election in the state.
The party state’s chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, in a release signed by the chairman, Strategic Communication , Mr Olumide Abiodun said the party will leverage on the performance of the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Sanusi represented by the duo of the party state’s Organising Secretary and Publicity Secretary, Yemi Adelani and Tunde Oladujoye, reiterated that APC’s administration had democratised governance and infrastructure and as well brought the government closer to the people of the state.
The trio of Baba Olu Agemo, former Senator, representing Ogun West senatorial district, Senator Kola Bajomo and former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly Suraj Adekunbi assured the electorate that the chairmanship, his vice as well as the councillorship candidates were carefully chosen and none of them emerged by accident
They lauded the infrastructural development of the present government across the state and are confident that the candidates will come out victorious
In their separate remarks, Commissioner for Housing who double, as the overall APC campaign coordinator in Yewa North, Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, former member of the state assembly representing Ketu constituency, Hon Job Akintan and former Ogun State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Hon Sunday Kojeku, eulogised Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration, saying these will gaurantee them victory on November 16.
Earlier, the party chairman, Chief Kunle Adeosun, disclosed that the strength of the party must be proved during the forthcoming council election, appealing for unflinching support of APC government at all levels.
In his acceptance speech on behalf of the vice and all other candidates, the chairmanship candidate, Dr Olusola Akinbode appreciated the governor, all leaders of the party for the opportunity given to them to serve their people and assured them that they will repay the confidence reposed in them.
