A group of Yoruba youths in Kebbi State under the aegis of Kebbi Council of Yoruba Youth Professionals (KCYYP) has reaffirmed their unflinching support and loyalty to the administration of Governor Dr Nasiru Idris in the state.
Addressing a press conference in Birnin-Kebbi Tuesday, the coordinator of the group, who is also the convener of the press Conference, Comrade Olaoluwa Oyewole used the conference to remind Governor Idris of his promise to carry the group along in his administration, based on the Yoruba Youth Professionals enormous support for him during his campaign and the election.
The professional youth group therefore called on the governor to see them as progressive partners to his administration reminding him that one of the strong cardinal point of his administration during his campaign was inclusiveness, therefore calling on the governor to give the Yoruba group a sense of inclusion in his government.
The Council also reaffirmed their support of the governor because he understands the needs of his people by doing his best to bring meaningful progress and development to the State and its people.
Pointing out that only a misguided person will deny the clear and visible development going in the State in the area of massive transformation and modernisation of the State capital away from what it used to be before now.
On the ongoing Nationwide protest, the group said, “the Yoruba Youth Professionals disassociated itself from the ongoing protest, we are against any form of riot, vandalisation and looting in the name of protest.”
“We urged all well-meaning Youths alike, Indigenous and non-indigenes in the State to embrace peace and support the the progressive feat of the governor in line with President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.”
“We support the governor’s initiatives in managing and ensuring peace in Kebbi State as we are going through nationwide protest tagged #endbadgivernance.”
