The Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa kingdom, HRM Oba (Dr) Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe has, in conjunction with Gold FM organised this year’s edition of his Christmas Funfair Party, on Friday, December 24 at Ajagbusi-Ekun Palace Hall, Aragba Square, Iloko-Ijesa, Oriade Local Government, Osun State.
According to him, Christmas comes once in a year and this is only time we can all come together and have quality time for the kids. We’re here today to facilitate meeting of our kids with Father Christmas and to advise them more, importantly, on their educational progress. This is also the best time to keep a good relationship with them and make them happy.
While advising parents, Mr. Olorunfemi Olatunji (Awoko) who represented the monarch stated that,” My advice for us parents, now, is that during this holiday, we should create more time for our kids. As we all know, they spend most of their time in school, so, we need to create more time for them, especially, to know the types of friends they keep and to know what has really transpired during the school hours and days. We should give them words of encouragements, to be focus, determined and successful in life.
Mr. Olatunji furthered his speech and said that,”As we celebrate birth, death and resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ, Owaloko is happy to celebrate with the children of his community. Yes, we are celebrating the beautiful blessing of God, children, here today, at Ajagbusi-Ekun Palace Hall, Aragba Square, Iloko-Ijesa, Oriade Local Government, Osun State. Let’s to rejoice together. Happy Yuletide”.
The monarch, HRM Oba (Dr) Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe greeted people,”Happy festive period, merry Christmas and happy new year, in advance “, he said.
