Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has commissioned 500 houses in Nguro-Soye, Bama Local Government Area, to resettle 10 communities displaced by the decade-long insurgency.

The resettlement scheme, which benefits over 1,100 households, includes public facilities like schools, healthcare centres, water facilities, and other basic amenities.

Governor Zulum, during the commissioning, reaffirmed his commitment to rebuilding Borno and closing all IDP camps by 2026.

He noted that the ongoing reconstruction projects in Bama, including the rebuilding of Bama township, Banki, Nguro Soye, and Mallam Chelumri, as well as efforts in Tarmua Town, Kumshe, Mayanti, and Bula Yobe, aim to resettle IDPs and rebuild a stronger Borno.
