Nationnewslead report that Governor Ademola Adeleke has appointed Caretaker committees for Local Government Council Areas, Local Government Development Areas and the Area Office in Osun state after securing approval of the State House of Assembly.
The Governor had written to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, seeking approval for the appointment of the Caretaker committees.
However, The Assembly had today during the confirmation received report of an attack on honourable member at Olorunda local government.
The Speaker, Hon. Egbedun, however suspended the confirmation of olorun local government — decision which was harshly supported by honourable representing obokun local government, Hon. Adewumi Irekandu, cited that any attack on honourable member of any local governments is an attack on all Assembly Members and the state as a whole – which must be dealt with without fear of favour.
Having confirmed list of nominees by the State House of Assembly, the inaugural ceremony of local government Chairmen latter took place at Bola Ige house.
