
The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade (Dr) Nasir Idris, presented his 2024 proposed budget to the State House of Assembly in a plenary session on Wednesday.
The proposed 2024 budget, tagged Budget of Infrastructural Development and People Empowerment, is the sum of N250.107 billion.

Of this figure, recurrent expenditure accounts for N90.624 billion, while capital expenditure is the sum of N159.483 billion.
Idris commended the speedy passage of the 2023 supplementary budget and also the bill to which the House gave speedy consideration for assent.
“Many of the achievements we have recorded in our short time in office have only been possible because of the unwavering support this house has given my administration. I thank you and your colleagues for this support.”
The Speaker, Hon. Muhammad Usman Dabai, thanked the Governor for presenting the budget, which he described as timely.
He assured the government of the speedy passing of the budget for his assent, saying that nothing from the theme of the budget would be ignored and that every attention would be given by honourable members to bring fast development to the state.
