Nationnewslead reports that Mr. Omisore Gabriel, on Saturday, congratulated the newly elected President of the National Association Of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comr. Sunday Asefon, and other national officials of the association.
Omisore, in a statement personally signed in Abuja, said the election of Asefon could not have come at a better time in the life of the NANS, considering his reputation and wealth of experience.
He specifically noted the use of electronic voting in the conduct of the NASS’s 2020 election which produced the new national officers of the NANS, describing it as a clear milestone which points the way to go, at the national level, in this era of digital revolution.
Omisore called on the new national executive of the NANS to build on the legacies of his predecessors, work for the unity of the NANS and ensure that the principle of fairness, equity and justice comes to play in all their actions.
He specifically commended the outgoing NANS executives for their engagement with the students union.
“I sincerely congratulate the new NANS executive under the leadership of Comr. Sunday Asefon.
I have no doubt that Asefon has all it takes to take the elite body of students in the country to the next level”. he said
