The Founder and CEO of Aribisala Care Foundation, Barrister Abiodun Aribisala, has criticized Osun State Governor, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, over allegations involving $20 million linked to his predecessor, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, the immediate past Governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.
In a statement, Aribisala, an internationally recognized tax consultant and prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, condemned Governor Adeleke’s focus on what he described as “baseless allegations” rather than fulfilling his mandate to the people of Osun State.

Aribisala questioned the timing of the allegations, stating that Governor Adeleke has been in office for over two years but is only now fabricating accusations against Oyetola as he prepares for re-election. He argued that if there were legitimate cases of financial mismanagement, the Governor should have taken immediate legal action rather than resorting to what he called “political distractions.”
Citing past administrations, Aribisala recalled that during former Governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola’s tenure, he wasted no time in prosecuting officials of Chief Bisi Akande’s administration over fraud allegations, a process that eventually led to their exoneration. He questioned why Adeleke has taken so long before making allegations against his predecessor.
The legal practitioner suggested that if any petitions should be submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), they should be directed at Governor Adeleke himself. He accused the Governor of failing the people of Osun State and challenged him to account for the N2 billion federal government palliative funds allocated to the state.
Aribisala further demanded that Governor Adeleke provide verifiable evidence of the 114 tractors he claimed to have purchased for N8 billion, questioning why they have not been made available for public use.
He also criticized Adeleke’s administration for what he called “deceptive promises,” citing the Governor’s pledge to provide boreholes in each of the 332 wards of Osun State at a cost of N14 million per unit, which he described as unrealistic.
Aribisala listed other unfulfilled promises, including the presentation of N518 million to 40 communities for infrastructural development, the Imole Surgical and Medical Outreach targeting 18,000 beneficiaries, and the enrollment of 3,332 Osun indigenes in the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS) for five years.
He called on Governor Adeleke to address the lingering issue of teacher recruitment in the state, noting that many candidates had undergone screening six months ago but have yet to be given employment opportunities.
Aribisala also condemned the Governor’s decision to sack workers employed by the previous administration, describing it as an act of political vendetta that undermines stability and growth in the state.
He urged Governor Adeleke to focus on governance and meaningful development rather than engaging in political distractions ahead of the 2026 election. According to him, the people of Osun State deserve good governance, not a leadership preoccupied with political gimmicks.
