A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Mallam Babangida Usman has described the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) as a party without direction and focus.
In an exclusive interview with Nationnewslead in Gusau, Usman said the party is one of the oldest political parties in Nigeria but has lost direction and focus.
He said the actions of the party leadership do not portray any justice, saying that Dauda Lawal Dare was a serious member of the APC but felt that the PDP in the state had no capable candidate for the governorship, so he defected to the party for selfish interests.
The leadership of the party in the state was too blind to see that Dare was a banker and a businessman, not a politician.

According to him, the party in the State have been having a series of problems leading to accusations, counter-accusations and suspensions.
“Many people who claim to be card carriers of the party are betrayers, looking for avenues to destroy the party for selfish interest”
“The truth still remains that there is no opposition party in the State. It is very clear now that Zamfara is a one-party State, that is APC”
Usman advised the leadership of the party to put its house in order before boasting that it is the number one opposition party, saying that the crisis of the party has drawn many of its supporters to APC.
