THE Chief Imam of Benin Central Mosque, Sheik Abdulfatah Enabulele, has vowed to defend the Benin throne against aggressors and preserve its cultural heritage from extinction.

He gave the assurance when he led Muslims faithful to pay Eid-El-Fitr homage to Oba of Benin, Ewuare II.

Enabulele, assured the Oba that Muslims Community in Edo will not be involved in activities that could cause crisis in the state.

“We will continue to do everything to guard this palace jealously so that the history of Benin kingdom will continue to prosper,” the Chief Imam said.

Enabulele, prayed for reward of the Oba’s immeasurable developmental efforts in Edo State and beyond and protect the traditional ruler and his kingdom.

Responding, Oba  Ewuare II, thanked the Muslims faithful for the visit, just as he admonished them to be law-abiding always.
