The Federal Government has reinstated Mr Sunday Adepoju as the Postmaster General (PMG) and the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) CEO.
NIPOST confirmed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday 14th October 2023.
The statement reads, “Mr Sunday Adepoju conveys his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and other key supporters.
“ He pledged to redouble his efforts to elevate NIPOST into a world-class digital postal service and align his vision with that of the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation & Digital Economy in contributing significantly to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
Recall that former President Muhammadu Buhari first appointed Adepoju in October 2022.
According to the post, the reinstatement is a testament to Adepoju’s leadership skills and unwavering commitment to service.
It urged Nigerians to anticipate enhanced value & quality services from NIPOST.
The post listed some of Adepoju’s achievements in the last year, including developing a modern digital postcode system and integrating the Address Verification System (AVS).
Others include procuring 20 operational vehicles and 100 motorbikes to enhance last-mile delivery remodelling of several e-government and financial services post offices.
Meanwhile, there have been ongoing videos of Adepoju celebrating his reinstatement as a Postmaster.
