DAYS back, top celebrities drawn from various sectors stormed the city of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital turning the city into a vibrant hub of excitement, as they gathered to celebrate the grandeur of the 10th Maya Awards Africa, created by Demola Ajibola.
The Mauve 21 Events and Conference Centre, nestled in the embrace of Ring Road, became the epicenter of this star-studded affair. The evening unfolded as a spectacle of recognition and celebration, drawing over 1,300 distinguished guests, including a mosaic of top-tier politicians, CEOs, and luminaries from the entertainment realm.
The event, orchestrated by Moreklu Awards, commenced under the watch of comedian, Dr. Smile, casting the opening spell, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Musical harmonies resonated through the hall, brought forth by DELE OMO WOLI’s Flaming Brothers and the VicKeYz. Laughter echoed courtesy of emerging comedians—General Olak, MC DEXTOP, Baffy, and Taichi—adding a delightful touch to the evening’s festivities.
As the night unfolded, it not only marked a gala celebration but also illustrated Maya Awards Africa as a cultural beacon in the hearts of the youth. Since its inception in 2013, the event had embarked on a global journey, casting a spotlight on over 350 exceptional youths across 10 countries, spanning diverse sectors of the global economy.
Leading guests to the venue was Hon. Shina Peller, while the wife of the Osun State governor, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, graced the occasion as the mother of the day. CEOs such as Dr. Muibi Kehinde, Dr. Tony Kolawole, Dr. Tosin Olatujoye, Kola Amusan, Engr. Kayode Adamolekun, and Mr. Deji Adeoye added their distinguished presence to the event.
The galaxy of entertainment personalities, including Aisha Lawal, Woli AGBA, Kamo Nepa Boiz, Erekere, and Ozain, further elevated the glamour of the night, making it a star-studded extravaganza that will linger in the collective memory for years to come.
