Unlike a man’s mind, Yusuf, outface, who hates walking sidestep, likes giving orders but detests taking orders, carries the art of telling who he is directly by the construction on his face, attracting street attention. There’s no logic of the unknown about him and he’s constantly not aware of his media image. His APC has always had enough of his complaints and excuses and cannot afford to have more of his blame game.
The APC Agba Osun Elders’ Council has a caliber of party arch leaders, responsible, sensible, responsive, of unimpeachable intellect, excellence, skill, competence and are upright who would not bulk under pressure in any given issue before it. Only the jaundiced would fail to be impressed by the formidable array of party leaders that makes the council a place of highly useful ideas for actions and the seat of the Osun APC party civilization, attitude moderation, and dispute reconciliation
Overtly, covertly, the APC _Agba Osun_ , Elders’ Council has no hatred for any two or more front burner, egghead party leaders in contention however vigorous, the disputation. It conducts its business that commands the faith and loyalty of the party people, expanding the frontiers of the unity, peace and progress of the party by managing crisis, instilling party discipline and re–evaluating the party – an agenda for more useful internal democracy. Beyond politics or as part of political appendages, the council prosecutes in the social equation, a moral lobby, drawing on the goodwill of the party men and women out there to evoke pride in them.
Therefore, the Yusuf rigging allegation against his APC and the electoral person of Oyetola is bizarre, weird, incongruous, unexpected and unimaginable, exemplifying the pedestrianism of Yusuf’s own brand of politics, ignominious, and the effervescence of his political loyalty, unenviable; and to the face of
the party _Agba Osun_ Elders’ Council where political values have taken roots and political loyalty, firm. Implying that Yusuf should be mapped for the image school of self- soul searching, dispassionate self-interrogation and self-examination of loyalty to his party. Why?
Yusuf’s intellects, literary and political training hadn’t taught him the difference between what’s publicly defensible and what’s not. To have dragged his party from the closet to the market place over an allegation is not defensible. His logic is blackmail, corrosive, and obtuse, not having any persuasive flashes. And the content autopsy done on the allegation reveals the party is fatally poisoned to the marrow.
Let’s face it. Yusuf cannot be locked out of his party or locked up and the keys dropped in the abyss of Atlantic Ocean. But he needs to put his gear in reverse to see what could be salvaged of his politics and political career. One, his political destiny has become tragically short – circuited by his own malice and un–ending sting of betrayals because to restate he goofed by the allegation made against his party and Mr. Governor in the public glare is to recycle an exasperating cliché.
Two, Yusuf has no claim on political decency. He likes to be seen where muck is the missile and never minds being seen with amateurs, the quackery and vote speculators from whose direction the missiles of muck fly to him. He does not believe he has historical responsibility at all times to be his party image defender to make a difference, plausible.
And Yusuf, a lover of muck, cannot be the governor- servant of the people of Osun; he’s certainly going to be a master who drives electoral masters, the voters off the road; he seeks power to be able to exercise power and enjoy the perks of power; he sees the irresistible attraction in power; and he’s not seeking power to serve Osun people, improve their welfare and betterment just as a good fraction of the 2018 Yusuf crowd, now with Oyetola have said they were not provided with the ‘tools’ to carry on with him to the present and future while they also wallowed in sufferings under Yusuf’s nose. And reportedly, they hadn’t political morality, altruism as everything was sacrificed to Yusuf’s squalid aggressive egotism that knew no bounds. “Depressive for them,” indeed, the chunks of his erstwhile followers said.
Hear this: “Lasun believes only himself. He prides only in his arrogance and given to unnecessary belligerence, always ready to pull down any structure for his personal gain. Even as the leader of the Osun caucus in the House of Representatives prior to the election which saw him as Deputy Speaker, he treated his compeers like plague and was said to have used his position to convert the group Joint Constituency Water Project to his personal interest.Yussuf’s arrogance knows no bounds as he never believes in teamwork,” the Osun royalty also quipped.
The verdict is, Lasun Yusuf, guilty in the eye of the Osun publics, is a fugitive from public justice, with implication for his governorship ambition, dead at conception.
And three, on the re- constitution of his politics and political career, Yusuf’s new action, operation, complete turn or reversal of position, direction, politics should be gear- reversed towards full loyalty to Mr. Governor and the party, and made the loyalty so deep, so thick to be seen, touched and felt, with Yusuf’s instincts and conducts, dusted and unblinded to the crucial fact that proximity to the source of power is pertinent, compelling, forceful and decisive in the game of politics and power.
