The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has commended the immediate past Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of FCID, Abiodun Alabi, and two Assistant Inspectors General of Police, Alagbon Ayodeji Ogundele and Olanrewaju Olaosebikan, on their retirement.
Egbetokun described DIG Alabi as an officer with “extraordinary vision” and praised the three retired officers for their loyalty, commitment, and dedication to their duties. He reflected on the nearly 35 years of service shared with the retirees, acknowledging their hard work and dedication that earned them prestigious ranks.
The commendation was made during the Pulling Out Parade held at the Ikeja Police College in Lagos.
Egbetokun noted that the newly retired senior police officers have excelled in every assignment entrusted to them, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and passion for policing.
DIG Alabi, in his remarks, expressed a sense of nostalgia, recalling the challenges overcome and sacrifices made during their careers.
He emphasised their commitment to duty and passion for justice, which guided their service to Nigeria.
The retirement ceremony marked the end of an era for the three senior police officers, who have served the nation with distinction.
Their legacy will be remembered, and their contributions to the Nigeria Police Force will be cherished.
