Political pressure and support group, the South West Agenda ’23 (SWAGA’23) has hailed the Supreme Court’s ruling that dismissed the petitions challenging President Bola Tinubu’s election, while also calling on opposition to join hands in making Nigeria work better.

The group made this known in a statement signed by its National Chairman, Senator Dayo Adeyeye and National Secretary, Bosun Oladele, and made available to newsmen, stating that it would take a collective effort to birth a better Nigeria.

The statement admonished the opposition to join hands with the Tinubu-led government to birth a better Nigeria, and also encouraged Nigerians to be patient with the reforms of the President.

The statement reads, “As the 2023 Presidential elections and the attendant litigations are over, It is time for all and sundry to focus and work for Nigeria to take its rightful place in the comity of nations as the leader of not only the black world but an emerging power of the 21st century.

“The judgement of the Supreme Court today has affirmed that our Principal, the most influential politician in Nigeria, the passionate progressive and uncommon leader; His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, is the rightfully and resoundingly elected President and the Commander of the Armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by majority of the Voters at the February 2023 general elections in our country.

“We as a political pressure and support group (SWAGA’23) can stand tall and proclaim from the rooftops that we recognized his ingenuity as a leader and his one-of-a-kind ability to turn bad situation to better based on his wealth of experience early enough to begin the journey for his ascension to Presidency way back in 2019 culminating in the affirmative judgment of the apex court today which calls for celebration.

“He is indeed the leader we need at this time as a country, the one who “knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. —John C. Maxwell.

“We, therefore, on behalf of our members across the country and every patriotic Nigerian Congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this victory and wish him success in his Renewed hope Agenda for Nigeria.

“We equally appreciate the industrious approach of our Judiciary to all cases at all levels in spite of the intimidation, harassment and cyber bullying/stalking by some sections of the populace. Indeed our democracy and the supportive institutions are evolving positively.

“While urging Nigerians to be patient with the reforms being engendered by President Tinubu as can be seen in the economy, infrastructure, social welfare programs and institutional reforms undertaken so far, we call on oppositions to join hands with the government of the day to birth a better Nigeria for the sake of this generation and the coming ones. There is no other country we can call our own, we must build a Nigeria where our legitimate aspirations can be fulfilled.

“For Mr. President, we urge you to steady your hands on the plough as you continue to renew our hope in a greater, functional and progressively advancing Nigeria.”
