The Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum has commended the electorates in Oyo State for the confidence reposed in the Governor of the state, Mr Seyi Makinde and his deputy, Mr Bayo Lawal by ensuring their victory in the gubernatorial election held on Saturday, 18 March 2023.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Prince Remi Adegbola, the body under the leadership of Barrister Ahmed Raji, SAN, attributed the massive victory to the people-oriented administration of the governor in his first four years in Office.
The Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum, an umbrella body for all indigenes of the area, expressed delight at the notable progress Engineer Seyi Makinde has brought to all corners of Oyo State without any form of discrimination. This, according to Barrister Ahmed Raji has had a positive impact on the lives of the people of Oyo State.
“Prompt payment of salaries of the workforce and entitlement of the pensioners as well as provision of essential socio-economic infrastructure put an end to untimely death and lifted the people from frustration to glorifications”.
ODCF recalled the unusual more-than-cursory look attention given to Oke Ogun through the reconstruction of Moniya-Iseyin road, the location of LAUTECH’s Faculty of Agriculture in Iseyin, completion of dualisation of Saki township road, the ongoing Saki-Ogboro-Igboho road, Iseyin-Ogboro road, returning the Headquarters of Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSDA) to Saki as some of the thundering achievements of the Governor in just four years that gave Oke Ogun its finest hour.
“We cannot but give all the glory to God and rejoice with His Excellency and his Deputy for the well-deserved victory. There is no doubt that greater success awaits the administration in its second term which will take Oyo State to greater heights”, ODCF said.
In conclusion, ODCF prayed for the Governor for the endowment of wisdom from above, wishing him a bon voyage in the sail towards 2027.
