The next preferred candidate according to the polls is Senator Bassey Albert with 20.8%, followed by Hon Onofiok Akpan Luke a former Akwa ibom Assembly speaker with 15%.
Also featuring in the poll are Obong Akan Udofia with 14% and Mr Udom Inoyo with 11%.

Another online poll revealed areas of major concern to Akwa ibomites. The poll highlights the areas they expect the government to tackle and in the order of priority expected are as follows, 38% of the electorate pointed Agriculture and food sufficiency as priority, 29.4% for Employment and Job creation, 12.3% Education and 20.3% were spread out across health, infrastructure and environment.
