Abiye Children’s Home tagged ‘Abiye’ a name which is used to commemorate Mama Beatrice Egbewole Abiye.

Abiye Orphanage Home as it is popularly known in Osogbo, has been doing wonders in the life of the orphans and vulnerables since its inception in 2006, with the Motto: Love, Care, Share.

Today, 7th of September 2021. Abiye orphanage home commissioned an ultra modern building and also appreciated the good people that have been contributing to the progress of the foundation.

“I commit the building in the hands of God, and i pray for the advancement of the foundation and more strength for them to be able to count many more achievements”, Pastor prayed.

Pharmacist Mrs. Ajayi, who is the Permanent Secretary of Osun state ministry of women affairs, children and social needs, congratulated Abiye orphanage home for their new building, thanked all the donors and all the well wishers present at the event.

 

 

She mentioned some of the functions an orphanage home which are: Provision Of alternative home for vulnerable children up to the age of 18 and giving them holistic care.

In her words, “Some orphanage homes have turned there places to baby factory which is illegal and not part of the functions of non governmental organization.”

 

 

“Ministry of women, children affairs and special has the mandate to monitor all organization that have something to do with the female.”

“We monitor not only the building but with the babies at their organization too”, She said.

 

 

Mrs Ajayi further said, there is a payment of reregistration which comes up every year, it is not the money that we collect from them that’s matter to us but to know who and who are still rendering humanitarian services on a yearly basis, she said.

At the commissioning, Hon. Justice S.O Falola started by saying, “it’s very rare to see someone that God has given everything needed in life”.

If human being has everything, life will seems boring, there won’t be any reason for aspiration.

He applauded the organization for making caring of the orphans part of their top priorities.

“It can be deduced that the orphans in Abiye are well cared for as far as we can see.

“I want to solicit that those who cannot support financially should contribute by other things.”

I wish the Abiye orphanage home the very best, he stated”.

Major sponsor of the organization Mr. Toye Adeyemi was not left out from the event, he addressed the people through phone conversation monitored by our correspondent, all the way from London.

Mr Toye appreciated everybody for coming to grace the occasion.

He talked about some historical moments that led to the establishment of the organization.

“Abiye historically started by my in-law Mama Beatrice.

“When we talking about how to celebrate her birthday in a grand style when she turns 70.”

“We said we will make it elaborate, we will call Yinka Ayefele to come and perform and some other merriment to celebrate her.”

“She simply said what we can do to make her happy when she clocks 70 is establishment of an orphanage home.”

“But just like a prophecy she didn’t live up to 70, she died at the age of 68.”

“After she died, we worked towards making what she aspired become a reality and that’s how Abiye orphanage home comes to life.”

“We are all mortal but we are using this orphanage home to immortalise her.”

“We being in England here we are living on Mama Abiye’s legacy”, Mr Toye said.

Mrs Adubi, the representative of Osun state first lady Alh. Kafayat Oyetola said “the orphans not only need Financial support but emotional and spiritual supports too”.

She congratulated Abiye Orphanage home for coming up with the Ultra modern structure.

“Wife of the governor send her greetings to the orphanage home. Mrs Kafayat Oyetola supported the orphanage 100% and looking forward to attend to their request at all times, she said.”

She saluted the organization for the humanitarian service they are rendering to the society.

Mrs Adubi congratulated Honourable Sunday Akere who was also present at occasion for his 60th birthday, She extended her greetings to Justice Falola, People from the ministry of women affairs, dignitaries and other participants of the occasion.

Also, she adviced prominents people in the society to emulate such a good humanitarian service of Abiye orphanage home by being impactful to the society and engaging in acts of charity.

After that, Mrs. Adubi commissoned the new Ultra modern building, took a walk round the house and did the cake cutting.

During our interview with Mrs. Bukola Adegoke, she said the Founder of Abiye orphanage home was inspired to establish the organization with the aim of ending the plight of the orphans and helping the less privilege people in the society.

She appreciated people that graced the occasion, prayed for them and solicited for more funds and assistance from philantrophist in order to do more in making sure that orphans are becoming meaningful and successful in life.

While speaking to Newsmen, Mr. Taiwo Kolade one of the directors in Abiye orphanage home, he expressed his gratitude over the achievements of the organization, thanked the donors, prayed for them, appreciated the government and seeked more support from them.
