Popular Instagram comedian and skit maker, Joshua Sunday professionally known as De General has opined that action movies can be successful in the Nigerian movie industry if well directed.

The skit maker turn aspiring movie director made this known in a recent interview with Friday Treat, he said “Action movies will sell here in Nigeria, look at how much we flood cinemas to see action movies from Hollywood. If little of what those foreigners do in their films are done in ours we will set world records. Nevertheless, in 2023, I will test run stunts on one of my biggest projects to prove action movies will sell”.

However, on how he hopes to create stunts in his forthcoming action project, he said “I do stunts with someone that has an idea about it. More like a professionals coming together, we know how to carry ourselves while performing” he said.

Speaking on movie making, the content creator, who recently released a short film titled ‘Yet Another Christmas’ also talked about his upcoming movie and his plans for 2023.

“I have a series titled ‘Death Trip’ coming next year, it’s a beautiful story about teenagers in school, what happens in their daily lives. So I want to be acting in detail what our parents think we don’t know” said De General.

When he’s not creating comedy or making movies, De General revealed that he spends time playing video games.
