African Alliance Insurance Plc said it has paid over N27.6 billion in claims within the past three years assured timely payment of genuine claims to its teeming policyholders.

This was disclosed by the Managing Director/CEO of the Firm, Mrs Joyce Ojemudia while speaking at the just concluded strategy session and retreat of the company held in Lagos where the board and management reviewed the 2024 outlook and decided on customer-focused strategies to deliver more value to its clients.

Mrs Ojemudia restated the Company’s resolve to continue maintaining its position as a beacon of strength and stability in the Nigerian insurance industry as it prepares for business in 2024 despite the heightening rate of inflation.

“With a foundation that rests on a bedrock of financial prudence and strategic investments, African Alliance’s success is evident by the lives it has safeguarded, while consistently delivering on her promise to compensate policyholders as at when due,” she said, noting that the insurer is committed to putting the customer first in all dealings, while ensuring prompt responses and settlement of claims.

“From 2020 till date, African Alliance Insurance Plc has paid out over N27.6 billion in genuine claims to customers and remains committed to doing so in the years to come. We wish to maintain and even exceed our consistent 17% increase in claims settlement year on year, which we have maintained since 2020.

“It is therefore not far-fetched to say that the African Alliance stands as a testament of resilience and strength. The company is not just a life insurer but a custodian of trust, safeguarding the dreams and aspirations of countless individuals and families in the society,” Mrs. Ojemudia stated.

Incorporated in 1960, African Alliance Insurance Plc is widely regarded as one of the strongest and most experienced life insurance specialists with its head office in Lagos and 18 branches nationwide.
