Kebbi State Governor, Comrade (Dr) Nasir Idris has condoled with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Ondo State Government over the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).

The Governor made this known in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Ahmed Idris and made available to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.

Gov. Idris described Akeredolu’s death as a devastating loss not only to the government and people of Ondo State and the APC’s family but to the Legal Profession and Nigeria.

Governor Idris described him further as an iconic fearless politician whose demise is a great loss not only to his immediate family and Ondo people but also a significant loss to the entire APC family and Nigeria at large.

Akeredolu who died at the age of 67 in a Lagos hospital early hours of Wednesday after a protracted illness, Gov. Idris also recalled that the late politician had left a vacuum which would be difficult to fill in view of his indelible mark not only in the political space of Nigeria but also his gigantic achievements in the legal profession.

“On behalf of myself, the Kebbi State Government and the good people of Kebbi State, I wish to tender our condolences to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, APC family, Ondo State Government and his immediate family over the death of a distinguished politician and an iconic Legal luminary.”

The governor however encouraged the family and people of Ondo State to take heart and accept his death as the will of God Almighty.
