Sequel to the earlier warning issued by the Bauchi State Police Command on all forms of celebrations and rallies by political party supporters for or against winners/losers of the just concluded Gubernatorial and state assembly elections, 11 suspected violators of the order have been arrested.

The tactical teams attached to the Command sustained an aggressive stance against miscreants across the state to curtail the breakdown of law and order following the just concluded gubernatorial and state assembly elections.

Consequently, the crime prevention operations conducted across the state led to the arrest of 11 suspects on alleged criminal conspiracy, thuggery and having dangerous weapons.

During the raid, the operatives retrieved 30 assorted dangerous weapons while the suspects arrested are: Uzaifa Abubakar (Damo) aged 18 years;
Abdulmalik Hussaini (Biri) aged 18 and Abdulmalik Suleiman (Bluetooth) aged 21.

Also arrested are Usman Isyaku (Kanzo) aged 20 years; Naziru Mohammed (Binju) 18 years all of Bayan NITEL area; Mubarak Yahaya aged 18 years of Doya area; Alyusha’u Sanusi aged 25 years of Bayan Zannuwa; Ahmad Usman aged 28 years of Illela, Mubaraq Nasiru aged 16 years of Railway; Idriss Dauda aged 22 years of Tsohon Kamfani and Khalifa Adamu aged 20 years of Danjuma Goje area.

The suspects above were arrested wielding dangerous weapons, disturbing public peace and order along Kobi Street, Fada roundabout and Danjuma Goje area of Bauchi metropolitan.

In a related development, the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command CP Aminu Alhassan on Tuesday, 21st March 2023 received in audience, the Community engagement stakeholders/ward heads in the Bauchi metropolis.

The meeting was prompted following reported Armed robbery and disturbance of public peace in some areas within the Bauchi metropolis.

The meeting was also to enhance community participation in the fight against crime and criminality in the State as contained in a statement by SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Anipr, Police Public Relations Officer.
