The Prelate of Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C& S), Mount Zion National Headquarters, His Most Eminence, Baba Aladura,  (Dr) David Bob-Manuel, has charged winners at the nation’s last general elections to be magnanimous in victory, by embracing their opponents and setting up machineries that will bring relief to the suffering people.

Making the appeal in Lagos, at a media conference held to announce the commemoration of his 6th induction event, the prelate stated that it has become imperative for all Nigerians to work together to enable them to address the myriad of challenges bedeviling the country.

According to him, one of the challenges remains that of unemployment, which, he stated, has pushed many of the nation’s youths into crime, such as online fraud, armed robbery, kidnapping and other forms of social vices.

He, therefore, called on the government to invest more on the agriculture sector; since it has the capacity to provide jobs for millions of Nigerians, and stem the ugly trend of crime the nation is presently witnessing.

“Furthermore, I implore the government at all levels to improve the quality of education and vocational training programmes in order to equip the youths with the relevant skills for the job market,” he noted.

On his tenure as the prelate of the church in the last six years, the cleric noted that through God’s grace, he has been able to survive the admixture of the good, the bad and the ugly that characterised the tenure.

He, however, noted that the church has witnessed an upsurge in development of cathedrals and physical structures in most of its provinces, with the drive for evangelism and soul-winning remaining its primary goal.

Baba Aladura explained that the 6th induction event tagged, “Made Alive in Christ’ John 10: 10, is woven around righteousness and holiness, in sync with the theme for the Holy Order in the past six years.

He, therefore, implored all Christians, especially members of the Holy Order to be alive in Christ in holiness and works of righteousness, in order to end the works of the flesh as detailed in Galatians 5:19-21.
