Nationnewslead report that The United Nations General Assembly in 1954 encouraged all countries of the world to set aside a day to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world’s children. May 27th is tradittional day set aside in Nigeria to celebrate children. Alayeluwa Oba Dr. Akeem Olusayo King Benjamin Ogungbangbe, Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa kingdom, a loving father has taken time out to pen down a heartfelt message to the children.
In a message signed by his media aide; Owaloko said, The Children’s Day offers us an inspirational motivation to advocate, promote, protect, and celebrate children’s rights and translate into action our love for our children. Let us commit ourselves to building a society where the rights of children remain paramount.
“Children’s Day is a time to recognize the importance of childhood and to appreciate the innocence, curiosity, and creativity that define this beautiful phase of life. It is a day dedicated to cherishing the wonderful qualities that make them the future leaders, thinkers, and innovators of our beloved town and our state” he affirmed.
“On this day, I urge all parents, guardians, teachers, and community members to come together and reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding the rights and well-being of our children. Let us foster an environment that is safe, inclusive, and empowering”.
