A man identified as Mr. Sanyaolu better known as Baba Fathia have allegedly battered his son leading to his loss of sight.
The incident according to an eyewitness report happened on the evening of Wednesday 26th May, 2021 at Unity Estate Community around Mango, Oke Ata under Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
It was reported that Mr. Sanyaolu, a commercial transporter while trying to correct the wrong doings of the son, Sulaimon Sanyaolu, a 14-year-old primary 6 pupil flogged him with his vehicle fan belt which accidentally hit one of the son’s eyes.
It was further gathered that the affected boy have been rushed to Federal Medical Center (FMC), Abeokuta after he was referred from a Community Clinic, having observed the eyes beyond their control.
As at the time of filing this report, the incident report have been sent to the state Police PRO, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi for further investigation.
