Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed a lack of communication with fellow music stars Wizkid and Burna Boy.
Speaking on the American show Sway’s Universe, Davido revealed that he and his colleagues do not have regular communication.
Addressing the host’s question about their interactions, Davido nodded in the negative.
Additionally, he distanced himself from comparisons between himself, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, asserting that he considers himself the sole prominent figure in the Afrobeats genre.
This statement contradicts the common perception that the trio are the leading figures in the global Afrobeats scene.
Davido also mentioned in a previous interview that both Wizkid and Burna Boy reached out to him following the tragic loss of his first son, Ifeanyi, in a swimming pool accident.
