Two persons have died in an auto crash at the Mile 12 Market area, along the Lagos-Ibadan highway, Ogun State.

Eight persons were also injured in the accident, which the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said occurred around 7:18 pm on Saturday.

The Ogun State spokesperson of the FRSC, Florence Okpe, while confirming the incident to NNL on Sunday, said, 14 male adults and one female adult were involved in the incident.

According to Okpe, a Man Diesel truck, marked BWR446XE, had crashed due to excessive speed, saying the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

She added that the injured victims had were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, as the bodies of the deceased victims were deposited at the FOS morgue, Ipara.

The FRSC, while commiserating with the family of the crash victims, advised motorists to obey traffic rules and avoid drunk-driving. Continue Reading
