Eniola Ajao, the renowned actress and producer, has issued a formal apology to the public in the wake of the controversy surrounding her movie premiere, “AJAKAJU,” held on Sunday, 24th March 2024.

In her heartfelt address to the public, Ajao expressed deep regret and remorse over the events that transpired during the premiere. She acknowledged the distress and turmoil caused and took full responsibility for the unfolding of events.

Ajao began her apology by extending sincere regrets to the Muslim community, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that it was never her intention to offend or upset anyone. She requested forgiveness for any discomfort caused during this sacred period.

Furthermore, she addressed women in society, emphasizing her respect for womanhood and pledging to uphold its dignity and honor. She assured that her actions were never intended to diminish or disparage the role of women.

Ajao also expressed apologies to actor Femi Adebayo and his wife for the undeserved backlash they faced due to an announcement made at the event. She expressed deep regret for any insults or disrespect directed towards them and took full responsibility for the harm caused.

Additionally, she extended apologies to popular figure Bobrisky, acknowledging the unintended difficult position the decision to award him had placed him in. She clarified that the decision was not meant to cause harm but was a misguided attempt to garner publicity for the movie.

To rectify her mistakes, Ajao announced her decision to honor Papaya Ex and Iyabo Ojo as the best-dressed females at the premiere, each receiving a sum of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) as a token of her sincere apology and appreciation for their grace and elegance.

In conclusion, Ajao reiterated that her primary aim throughout the controversy was to promote her movie, slated to hit cinemas on 29th March 2024. She acknowledged her missteps and expressed hope for understanding and reconciliation from the public.
