Nationnewslead report that The Alumni Association of the Federal Polytechnic Offa under the leadership of Comrade Rahman Ayuba has completed plans to build a ninety (90) room hostel accommodation in the Federal Polytechnic Offa main campus.
The President disclosed this at the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the Association held on Saturday 17 September 2023.
Comrade Ayuba while addressing the congress noted that the Alumni Association executives have drawn out a three-year strategic plan with a points agenda for the progress of the Polytechnic. These agendas spread across Communication and Engagement, Networking and Reunion Events, Professional Development and Lifelong Learning, Recognition and Awards, Volunteerism and Giving Opportunities, Mentorship Programs, Physical Infrastructure Development, Renovation and Maintenance Projects, and Sports and Recreational Facilities.
According to him, “We have secured land within the permanent campus for the building of a 90-room hostel accommodation and we are already rounding up with preliminary paperwork, costing, drawings and clearing of the site is ongoing as we speak.”
He therefore solicited for continuous support of the Polytechnic management, Alumni executive members, Board of Trustees and other Alumni members of the Polytechnic, adding that the collective efforts of the relevant stakeholders are essential for the growth and progress of the Alumni Association and the Polytechnic at large.
