The Dean, Directorate of Students’ Affairs, and immediate past Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, (ASUP) Federal Polytechnic Offa Chapter, Dr. Waheed Balogun has bagged ASUP meritorious award.
The award ceremony took place at the Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji on Tuesday 19th of July, 2022.
The Award was conferred on Dr. Balogun by ASUP zone C in recognition of his meritorious service to the union as a ZEC member between 2017-2021.
The letter of invitation dated 1st of January 2022 and signed by zonal Secretary, Conl. Afolabi, Q. I reads in part
“In tandem with our tradition of honoring the past chairmen of ASUP that have contributed to the development of the union in the Zone and National through their leadership roles at the chapter.
“This year’s role of honor will take place at Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, on the 19th of July, 2022.
“You are hereby invited as one of the deserving chapter chairmen to be honored.”
While reacting to the award, Dr. Balogun commended and thanked the leadership of ASUP for counting him worthy of the honor.
According to him, “To the glory of God Almighty, today, 19th July 2022, I received a meritorious award of good service as two-time ASUP chairman, two-time zonal treasurer of ASUP zone C, a distinguished member of ASUP NEC at the national for two-time of four years. The award is hereby dedicated to the entire CEC of the ASUP Fedpoffa chapter from 2017-2021.
