The Osun State branch of the Federal Polytechnic Ede Alumni Association condemned the Ede Cultist killings and asked Police to bring the prime culprit to Justice
The Osun State chairman of Alumni Association of the Federal Polytechnic Ede has called on the commissioner of Police of Osun State to strengthen security situations of the Federal Polytechnic Ede following the recent attacked and killing of students by suspected cultist who has attacked the students community recently. The security situations in Ede community needs urgent attention to prevent further occurrence of such incidents.
The Osun State chairman of the Federal Polytechnic Ede Alumni Association who was a former students’ Union President of the Polytechnic Comr. Olorunfemi Olatunji AWOKO, has described the incident as babaric and nauseating and charged the Osun State Commissioner of Police Wale Olokode to thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to the death and killing of Federal Polytechnic Ede Students which further caused unrest in the community. He commended the police for taking actions by arresting 2 of the suspects while the prime suspect Rasheed Okolu is not yet to be found. “The police should intensify their efforts in a way to get the prime suspect arrested” he said
The Chairman of the Alumni Association has also charged the Osun State government to take the security of the state as utmost priority as the first responsibility of a responsible government is to protect life and properties of the citizens.
The Osun State Chapter of the Polytechnic Ede Alumni Association has also commiserated with the family of the deceased, the Polytechnic management and the students of the Polytechnic and we hope there will be a stop to such occurrence.
