The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NISB) has been notified and commenced investigation into a serious incident involving a Boeing 733 with Nationality and Registration Marks 5N-BYQ belonging to Aerocontractors Airlines, which occurred around 10:47am (Local Time) on Sundy, 12th November, 2023.

According to information gathered, the aircraft upon landing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja from Lagos and in a bid to exit the runway via A4 had its nose wheel stuck in the grass verge with its fuselage on the runway.

A statement issued by the investigation bureau confirmed that there was no injury or fatality.

The NSIB used the opportunity to solicit information from the general public in form of pictures, video or recording evidences to assist in conducting a comprehensive investigation.

The Bureau equally appealed to the general public and the media to respect the privacy of the people on board by not assuming the cause of the serious incident until formal report is released.
