Nationnewslead report that It was a moment of joy and appreciation as the Bursar of Lens Polytechnic, Alhaja Sekinat Azeez prayed for the staff members, family, friends, and well-wishers who came out en mass to felicitate with her on her safe trip back from the Holy Land, Mecca.

Alhaja Sekinat uttered the words of prayer during a welcome-back prayer session organized to appreciate Almighty God for her safe journey to and fro the Holy Land.

In her words, she appreciated Almighty Allah for granting her journey mercy and granting her the privilege to fulfill one of the five pillars of Islam. She, therefore, prayed to God to grant other well-wishers the opportunity to visit the Holy Land and prayed for good tidings to continue to be in multiple in the households of her immediate families and the entire Lens Polytechnic family.

While giving an opening prayer, the Polytechnic Imam, Mallam Mubarak Adetunji said that, Hajj as one of the pillars of Islam is expected of every Muslim once in a lifetime. He added that Hajj is a remarkable journey that offers a chance to wipe all the sins one has committed in the past.

Imam Mubarak, therefore, enjoined all Muslim Ummah to stand firm on righteousness and always have it in mind to visit the Holy Land.

While giving a sermon on some of the deeds that can diminish Hajj supplications, a lecturer from the Business Administration Department of the institution, Imam Agunbiade Mustapha affirmed that forbidden salats and uncouth attitudes among others constitute the habit that hinders Hajj. He advised Alhaja Sekinat to continue with her good deeds as she is well known for good tidings and good interpersonal relationships among staff and family members.

While giving a vote of thanks, the Proprietor, Dr. Azeez Issa acknowledged the presence of staff members, family, friends, and well-wishers for gracing the event. He added that the Bursar has opened doors and laid a good foundation for other staff members to visit the Holy Land in subsequent years. The proprietor, therefore, prayed for the continuous progress and success of the institutions and its human resources in all ramifications.

Present at the event were the Registrar; Mr. Hammed Sarafa Olalekan, Strategic Planning Chairman; Mr. Fatai Abdul-Azeez, the Compliance Officer; Mrs. Medinat Adekeye, the Examination Officer; Mr. Mubarak Adetunji, Polytechnic Librarian, Mr. Sheriff Banuso among other staff members.
