Nationnewslead report that The President of the Ijesa North Council of Oba’s and Secretary of the G-12, Owaloko of Iloko Ijesa, Alayeluwa Oba Dr. Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, expressed joy alongside His Royal Majesty Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, and the entire Oke Ila community, as they marked the 2024 Oke Ila Day.

In a statement released today, Oba Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe commended Oba Adedokun and the organizing committee for their efforts in making this year’s celebration a resounding success. The Owaloko highlighted the significance of the Oke Ila Day festivities in fostering unity and camaraderie among both indigene and non-indigene residents of Oke Ila.

The Oke Ila Day celebrations, which witnessed a myriad of cultural displays, traditional performances, and community engagements, were lauded for their role in preserving the rich heritage and traditions of the Oke Ila people.

Owaloko emphasized the importance of such cultural events in promoting tourism and showcasing the unique cultural identity of Oke Ila to the wider community.

As the festivities drew to a close, Oba Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe extended his best wishes to Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin, the people of Oke Ila, and all participants, expressing optimism for continued unity, progress, and prosperity in the region.
