Ikire Mayhem; Soldiers Return To Barack

….As Osun Deputy Governor Purchases a New Toyota Hilux for the Military to Meet their Last Condition for Peace.

Ikire, an ancient town in Osun, had witnessed, a serious civil unrest in the last couple of days due to misunderstanding between the two royal families and some hoodlums.

It might be another story, had it been the hired thugs never attacked Nigeria Army officers who first came to restore peace in the town.

But unfortunately, the soldiers were beaten to a coma, military operational vehicle was damaged, which they later set ablase, officers were disarmed with their riffles and bullets box taken away.

The truth is; no town does that and enjoy peace. The officers who escaped from the ugly scene rushed to the Barack to give account of the sad incident. Hence, the reprisal attack by the military and to recover their missing equipments. This reprisal attack really cost lives and properties of the instigators as well as innocents in the town.

The military had earlier laid terms and conditions for permanent peace to return to the city, which include recovery of their riffles, bullets box and getting another operational vehicle which was damaged by the hoodlums after intervention by leaders of thought from the ancient city.

Fortunately, due to the unrelenting efforts of His Excellency, Mr. Benedict Alabi (Osun State Deputy Governor), Irewole local government Chairman Hon. Remi Abass, and his Irewole Northeast counterpart, Hon Opeyemi Adeboye, all the two riffles were recoverd and Mr Alabi solicited for peace from the military that the other missing items will be delivered to them within a short period of time.

After all items had been recovered except the damaged operation vehicle, Mr Gboyega Alabi came to the rescue of his town by purchasing and handed over a new Toyota Hilux to the military authority, which is the last point of peace conditions as tabled by the military

On behalf of Osun Government, we urge all members of the public to go back to their various daily duties and activities as permanent peace has been restored to the city and also enjoyed them to be law abiding citizens.
