Nationnewslead reports that The Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, Oba Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe has called on stakeholders especially the rich and prominent ones to contribute massively to the infrastructural growth of education in the country.

This call was made by the traditional ruler while commissioning a six-block of classroom for Iloko Model College Kiddies in Iloko-Ijesa.

The commissioning ceremony was well attended by invited guests, prominent sons and daughters of the land which include the likes of Baba Orisa of Iloko-Ijesa, community chiefs, Prince Omijiyegbe Jimoh, Prince Ahmed Ogungbangbe, former director general Osun State Refutation Cooperation, Rev. Kojeku, Dr. Lawrence Fagbohun, government officials among others.

While appreciating God for the privilege and grace to make the event a worthy one, the traditional ruler expressed his unlimited joy over the successful completion of the six-block classrooms which would surely make learning easier and more comfortable for students in the school.

The royal monarch stated that education is not only for the children of the rich but also for the less privileged because the children you fail to train today will definitely cause troubles in future.

Oba Ogungbangbe appreciated his late father who was one of pioneers of western education in the ancient town and his predecessor Late Oba Oladele Olashore CON for their vision and numerous efforts in translating it to mission.

The royal father applauded other notable individuals such as Professor Olu Odeyemi, Chief Olushola Ogunsanya, Chief Jas Osedahunsi, Princess Toyin Ademokoya Nee Eyebiokin among others who have worked assudiously to keep the flag of the school flying.

This is no doubt a great step which must be taken by other communities. Provision of standard and well equipped schools which will be made affordable to both natives and residents of all class should be prioritised, he added.
