Stakeholders in Ipetu-Ijesa Wednesday, January 9, 2023, gathered and endorsed the candidate of All Progressive Congress in the forthcoming House of Representatives Election, Hon. Seun Odofin declared him as the most competent and trusted contender.
The community stakeholders complained bitterly about the total neglect of the ancient town and immeasurable stagnation brought upon the constituency by the incumbent representative at the National Assembly saying he has records of unbeaten responsiveness, deceit, and incapability to turn things around for good.
The leader of the group went down memory lane about the creation of Oriade Local Government from the old Obokun Local Government and how communities in the old local government were rotating the seat of the Green Chamber. He also narrated a peaceful unwritten agreement between Obokun and Oriade Local Governments where the duo councils rotated the office of Ijesa North House of Representatives before the incumbent representative decided to betray the gentleman agreement and turn the seat to self-property.
They thanked Seun Odofin for his boldness to take on the battle of liberating his people and his giant stride in human and infrastructural developments. They specifically appreciated him for provisions of Solar Powered Borehole, Solar Lights, and a block of 3 classrooms provided for the community. They assured him of massive votes across the board during the election so that he can continue to provide the outstanding leadership traits that distinguish him from known looters of our collective resources.
Responding, Hon. Odofin promised to facilitate massive projects and sponsor bills that will promote the status of the constituency and impacts the lives of the constituents without discrimination if given the chance to represent his people. He urged the constituents not to allow agents of disintegration to destabilize the present peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by all and sees beyond money inducement going around across communities by people who have mortgaged the progress of the constituency for self-enrichment and lineage prosperity.
Prayers were later offered for Hon. Seun Odofin electoral bid and freedom of Ijesa North Federal Constituency from forces waging war against her development. Continue Reading
