Nigerian street singer, Naira Marley, has delivered a defiant message to his critics. In a recent Instagram post, the controversial artist assured his ‘haters’ that he has much more to offer, urging them to brace themselves for what lies ahead.
He wrote, “Marlians 4 Life.”. “Dear haters, I have so much more for you to be mad at. Just be patient.”
The statement comes in the wake of a viral video featuring Naira Marley and socialite, Sam Larry, being subjected to a prayer session by an Imam.
In the footage, the cleric is seen leading a prayer for the perpetrators of the late Mohbad’s demise, a former signee under Naira Marley’s label.
Despite their silence during the prayer, the Imam insisted they shout “Amen,” and observations from their body language prompted reactions from netizens who speculated on their alleged involvement in Mohbad’s death.
It’s worth recalling that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were previously detained on suspicion of involvement in Mohbad’s death, a former signee under Marlians record label, owned and run by Naira Marley.
Having spent over five weeks in police custody, they met their bail conditions on November 17th.
Their release was confirmed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed that they had satisfied the terms set by a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court.
To the chagrin of many, Naira and Sam were caught celebrating their freedom at an event shortly after their release. The two had launched a charity campaign to win back Nigerians’ hearts.
