The Senator representing Jigawa northwest senatorial district, Senator Babangida Husaini has given cash assistance to Christians in his constituency.

This was contained in a statement issued, signed and made available to Tribune Online by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kazaure local government chapter,
Rev.Fr. Matthew Chafa.

In the statement “the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commended the senator for the donation to christian faithfuls living in JIgawa northwest senatorial zone.”

The association also reiterated their confidence in Senator, stating that, their votes was indeed in the right direction describing him as a strong unifier among citizens and promoter of peaceful coexistence.

“We must commend the distinguished Senator due to his kind gesture extended to pastors and widows through his humanitarian disposition where 49 Pastors, 90 widows and about 50 vulnerable benefited from his cash gifts for the festive period.”

Also the CAN chairmen representing Kazaure, Gumel and Ringim, in a letter of appreciation to the Senator, maintained that, “the Senator is indeed a man of his words, fulfilling his mandate and agenda for Northwest.”

According to the statement,
the Senator’s consideration of the Christian constituents, shows an epitome of a true democrat, transparent and inclusive leadership for all.

The association then, promised more support to the Senator and prayed for God’s guidance, success and good representation throughout his tenure.
