Reprieve has come the way of intending pilgrims from Nigerian who are yet to be airlifted to Saudi Arabia.

 

The Saudi Arabia’ General Authority on Civil Aviation (GACA) extended the deadline for the closure of the airspace till July 7.

This, The Nation, learnt followed a high-level discussion between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

 

The Nigerian team was led by the Chairman /Chief Executive Officer of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

 

The were about 3,000 Nigerian pilgrims who are yet to be airlifted to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj.

While the two airlines, Max Air and Azman airline would continue their airlifting operations from where they left off, the commission has concluded arrangement with Flynas to operate three rescue flights for pilgrims in Kano and Abuja. Continue Reading
