Monarchs and Ife elders have urged the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore, to shun distractors over his new assignment in the party.
The monarchs- Oba Idowu Adediwura, Lowa Adimula of Ife; Chief Abraham Adeyeye and Ife Elders’ Council in a statement congratulated the APC national secretary on his victory at the congress.
Other executives who signed the statement are the President, Ife Development Board, Olajire Awowoyin; President, Ife Progressive Forum, Dr. Gbolade Famoriyo; President, Ife Traditional Council of Sooko, Sooko Lelodo, Johnson Adeyoju, among others.
The statement said: “We hope and pray that you (Senator Omisore) will bring to bare, your wealth of experience with a view to using this position for effective service to humanity as much as always. It is pertinent that we enjoin you to hit the ground running as you have assumed office as the national secretary of the APC and shun distractions and distractors. “We wish to state here that this appointment is the joy of members of Ife Council and the good people of Ifeland and Osun State. In the light of this, we wish to posit that your new God-given position is one which has further proved you to be a leader of no mean status in this community, Osun State and Nigeria at large.” Continue Reading
